But before picking a date, make sure to check with your school about the deadline for turning in senior yearbook photos! Every school has different submission dates, and you don’t want to scramble at the last minute. Booking with this deadline in mind ensures you have plenty of time to select and submit the perfect image. If you happen to live in my area, on the Central Coast, yearbook submission deadlines are earlier than most people realize. Start researching early to ensure you can book a time of year with the look and feel you’re hoping for!
- Summer & Early Fall: Golden sunsets, warm tones, and that perfect glow. If you want those dreamy, sunlit images (I love playing with light!), this is a great time to book—plus, it ensures you’ll have photos ready well before most yearbook deadlines.
- Late Fall & Winter: Cozy sweaters, colorful leaves, or moody skies—it’s a vibe! If your senior loves a fall aesthetic, this is a beautiful choice, but be mindful of early yearbook deadlines.
- Spring: Fresh greenery, wildflowers, and soft pastel colors. A great option if your school allows later yearbook submissions or if you just want additional portraits beyond the required yearbook shot.
